This is a wheel thrown ceramic series with floral designs, inspired by el flor, Cempasuchil (Mexican Marigold). The design is a combination of sgraffito and glaze inlay to create a vibrant contrasting design.
El Cempasuchil, known for it 's potent fragrance, is said to lead souls from their burial place to their family homes. Making it the flower traditional used during the celebration of Dia de Los Muertos.
